I hope the folks in Athens know how lucky they are to have a place like this in their backyards. There are so many towns across the south that do not have a decent barbecue joint. Half of the places I have been to serve boiled ribs that are swimming in sauce.
The Butt Hutt has a decent selection of beer and their Texas Margarita packs a delightful punch!
My favorite item on their menu are the Butt Chips. You get a pile of house made chips covered in smoked pork, cheese, jalapenos and bacon. They chips are not to be overlooked!
These guys also offer catering service so you can have their great barbecue at your next family reunion or holiday office party. They have good prices and great food. Highly recommended!
